Sliceform 3d Surfaces

This colourful 3d surfaces poster shows many examples of the beautiful models which can be made using the technique of sliceform modelling. This is a technique for creating three-dimensional surfaces from two intersecting sets of paper sections. The surface is suggested by the edges of the paper slices so that the volume of each model has little actual substance. However, the interplay of colour and shadow on the slices gives the models an almost magical quality. It is a fine way of demonstrating the beauty inherent in mathematical forms.
